Re: The Build

I actually have those filters and they didn't work as well as I wanted, and I saw another thread on her using the stock air box boots to lengthen the intake but the pods don't fit bc I didn't have an old airbox to take the boots from and the closest thing I could find was much longer, which means th...

Re: The Build

Do you think less foam would fix this? Like a wire mesh and a thinner filter substance?
I'm also thinking an oval air filter like you would see on a double/triple carburated car, like this http://www.rjays.com/Billet_Spec/billet ... 420-lg.jpg

Re: Carb Issues

It was the idle screw. Made a tool, sync'd em. Still died. Then adjusted idle screw, runs fine. So probably a mixture of both. Then made new pods out of some pity her from home depot isle 9, it's rubber boots meant for water systems running PVC pipes 1.5" id which means the boots accept 2"...

Re: Fiberglass fairings... Has anyone used them?

I have airtechs that were made in 97
they were pretty brittle and a total beach to fit on the bike, but once I got em on there, they didnt crackle or give me any problems, and they are WAYY lighter than the stock. Plus I can fix 'em with my surfboard repair equipment, which is a nice thing to have ;)

Re: 93 fizzer fork spring question

I dont know how it helped the nosediving yet b/c ive still got the carbs to sort out, but it made a serious difference just sitting on the thing, the sag felt soooo much stiffer (put a gsxr750 shock on the back tho too...)

Re: Carb Issues

It doesn't idle unless the choke is on. I'm at sea level (San Diego) No synch has been done on it, I have just bench synced it I was thinking along the lines of yamaha George that the carbs being more efficient at higher flow rate might warrant the smaller jets.... I'm going to put the 118s back in ...

Re: The Build

I am looking into doing this mod with some radiator tubing or perhaps some kitchen tubing from the wonderful land of HomeDepot I am not privileged to have an extra airbox laying around anymore and my bike is sitting with uni pods, so i would love to have a simple fix of these stacks the bike is non-...
