Re: Headlight issues...AGAIN

Do you have a volt meter to test for voltage at the light itself? Have you checked all the fuses too?

Re: hello all

Welcome. I'm not as versed on the 1k as I am with the 600. So I'm sure someone that knows more than me will chime in. Have you checked the exup valve to make sure it opens and closes?

Re: Laid my bike down :(

Glad you're OK. The fairing stay might not be too hard to bend back out. I did mine with a little bit of heat from a torch.

Re: JOIN THE CROWD! (FACEBOOK)

The cool thing I like about Facebook for the forum is you can get a quick answer to something, as well as people can post things for fun, photos and videos, easier. It's also easier to run all around and we don't have to worry about donations. That's just my 2 cents though.

Re: FZR Idle Problems

Do the pods sit directly on the carbs or is there a little piece of tubing or anything to sit them up a bit? Can you upload a pic?
Also what kind of exhaust do you have?

I have a whole shim kit I was thinking about putting on here. I can look to see what I have when I get home.

Headed to Deal's Gap this weekend....

Just wanted to remind anyone that might happen to be going as well. I will mostly be there on Saturday.

Re: How Much to Pay for a '99 R6 with 21k Miles?

I liked it when my buddy had it. Had a whole lot more umph. More parts available too. I just liked the idea of fuel injected so I went looking for an R1 when I upgraded. It'll still be a hoot.

Re: How Much to Pay for a '99 R6 with 21k Miles?

I paid 3400 with a buddy for an 01 r6. Had edit17k miles. But that's in MO. It kind of depends on location. Kbb.com/motorcycles has some info.

Re: Its official I no longer have an FZR 600

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you received a bike with one of the best detailed records of maintenance history. Glad to have you. George, I'm around just trolling this site and learning about how to work on my new Buell at the other forum. I'm in my last year of my BS. And will immediately go into ...

Hate to see you get rid of her but glad she got a good home. You just need something else for you to work on until you get that new bike.

Re: 97 fzr600 sprocket changes?

Just my 2 cents. But I recommend to change them all at the same time. That way they all wear together and at the same time as well. 14/48 combo would give you better acceleration. I went with a 14/49 520 combo and had loads more low end acceleration. It's all about the final drive. Anyway the more y...
