Re: Spelling and grammar?

In another forum I'm a part of ( audiclub .ee ), simple rules, like proper capitalisation, punctuation and full words are actually enforced by forum moderators. For first two erroneous posts you get notified of the rules and consequences, third time revokes your posting rights until you acknowledge ...

Re: I have a strange sound in the back of the motorcycle

I would suggest just trying to rattle (or shake) everything you can get your hand to near where you hear the sound. If something is loose there, you'll feel it.

Spelling and grammar?

For readability, could some of the board members start using punctuation and stop using one-letter acronyms (y, u, etc.) instead of words? Right now some of the newer posts are really hard to read and even though I could maybe propose a solution to the poster's problem, I've instead closed the post ...

Re: 1wg or 3he

Well, according to the internet + Wikipedia, 1WG is an FZR400, 3HE is an FZR600 (in 67kW/91PS spec).

Winter, fairings.

Ended up buying a sealed/AGM battery just before packing it away in the garage for winter. With cold weather it wouldn't even start when battery was fully charged. Starting to gear up for when the snow and ice are finally gone and the garage is warm enough to work in (which will likely take at least...

Nice project, nice progress. It seems you started out even worse than me ([Project thread] The Yellow FZR - 1990/1993 FZR1000). I'm still waiting for the winter to end and snow to melt.

Battery

Last week I found out that my battery is at the end of its lifespan. Wouldn't start one morning after sitting for a week, so I took out the battery, charged and monitored it. When charged to about 13.7V, in a few days of just sitting there it was already at 12.2V. After that I spent a few evenings l...

[Project thread] The Yellow FZR - 1990/1993 FZR1000

Copied the start of the thread from my Welcome post... I'll update it every once in a while. I bought an FZR 1000 about three months ago. My first bike and therefore my first FZR. As this forum has been at times an invaluable resource for information, I'd thought to register, say hi and maybe start ...

Re: Bike won't start...smelled like eggs earlier...

I'd start by visually checking the battery and measuring the voltage, not reading about smells and guessing. my2cents

Re: Wind Screen ?

For the 1989-1990 model, only the correct windscreen probably fits. 1987-1988 (flat double round headlight), 1991-1993 (single headlight) and 1994-1995 (foxeye) windscreens are all different - shapes and angles don't match. Some visual reference for matching the year can be got from here: http://www...
