Re: Downed Fzr 600

I would check out the Streetfighter section... they should have plenty of ideas there.

Re: MOTORCYCLE PICS and HOW TO ADD PICS TO YOUR POST

Found the issue. It reverted the "Registered Users" back to "Limited Access" when the forum was last updated.

Re: 520 Conversion - WHAT? WHY?

Is a 520 conversion enough to lift the front wheel on gas ? Never tried to do wheelie but im wondering ? If you want to lift the front wheel on the FZR, it all really depends on your weight, but you're probably looking at a 14 tooth front /54 tooth rear or something similar. Course, you gas mileage...

Re: toobs

There is a difference in running "rich" at idle and at 1/2 or WOT.

If you're too rich at idle, then adjust the IMS (Idle Mixture screws). If you mess with the dropping a notch on the needles, then you will be messing with partial throttle response and it might not be what you want.

Re: project bike

When you mention "v-twin engine" and "single-sided swingarm", then "easiest" shouldn't be in the same paragraph.

You're looking at a lot of custom work. Get out the welder and have at it.

Re: 1,500 lbs Motorcycle Lift/Dolly/Stand

I have one for my Suzuki Boulevard. Probably overkill for the FZR... I would prefer Pitbull-type (front/rear) stands for a sportbike though.

Re: Dyno jet questions

What RPM or throttle position are you having issues at?

There are different adjustments for every range.

Re: FZR562 questions

You are right, the build is on FZR Archives. The page is http://www.fzrarchives.com/fzr400/560.html . I don't know if it is OK to post links to other sites here, so if not, I will remove it. We're all friends with those from the Archives. Most of us started there. No problem with the links. Darrin

Glad to hear your having fun with your FZR.

The only Service Manual to buy is the OEM Yamaha Service Manual.

Re: Dynojet jet kits

If you have aftermarket components, such as a K&N filter or pods and a full exhaust, chances are you will have problems that a jet kit has the ability correct. However; some things like worn emulsion tubes, can't be corrected by simply adding a jet kit. I would certainly pull those and check for...
