It will bolt on, but the timing is different so it will not help you any.

Re: 94 FZR1000 - Changing fork seals NIGHTMARE!

You can do this without the special tools, although the tools do help make things easy. Use a piece of PVC pipe to act as the seal driver. Not sure what size you need, but the forks are 43mm. And you can use some electrical tape to help get the seal over the top of the tube. The only reason you use ...

Re: Fuel Injection kits for the FZR400, FZR600, YZF600

Just out of curiosity, did you happen to read the thread by Diztroy on making his YZF600 EFI - click here - over on oldskoolyzf.com? He had intakes custom machined to fit the R6 throttle bodies to the YZF head. In theory, the same can be done to the FZR head. The difference being the round vs oval i...

Re: will yzf600 engine parts bolt into fzr cases

They don't. I haven't seen anyone yet to fully use a YZF engine to do this (not to say it isn't out there, I've just not seen it). I know of one person who was going to do this, but I never saw a finished product. I've been working on and off on one of these engines for a while now and I will be usi...

Re: Please point me in the right direction.

You blew a fuse. Check the fuse block and replace the blown one. Then you need to track down the wire that is grounding out and causing the short. Mine did this once and it was the wire for the horn hitting the radiator.

Re: question about spllitting the cases

Nope, the hole damn thing has to come apart to get the tranny out. There are 2 bolts inside the crankcase that you can only access by removing the cylinder block and letting the pistons hang there.

Re: will yzf600 engine parts bolt into fzr cases

You should be able to match up the bearings as per Yamaha specs and buy from the dealer. The main shaft of the YZF tranny is too long and does not fit into the FZR cases. Keep in mind that if you do a 660 engine, you should do some research as to the parts needed. What I gave you was a quick descrip...

Re: will yzf600 engine parts bolt into fzr cases

The crank should. The YZF pistons will not connect to the FZR conrods as the sizing to different. The tranny will not fit the FZR cases (I've tried). But, if you get the correct conrod bearings the YZF conrods will bolt to the FZR crank. From there all you need is the cylinder and pistons up of a YZ...

Re: Front fork seals are leaking... should I change them?

Nice 1k man. Do a youtube search for changing fork seals. It really is easy. First time I did it the first side took me 1.5 hours. The second side took me 20 minutes. I do have to say though that having the correct tool does make the job easier. I invested in some tools to do it and it made life so ...

Re: f3 cbr forks in yzf 600r tripple ?

Never heard of it before. An F2/3 rear wheel is common, but not the forks as far as I know of.

Also try the yzf600r forum. There is usually a few bikes being parted out.

Re: tank swap question

I can confirm that the mounts between the Foxeye (600 & 750) are the same as the Thundercat (600). But I would recommend against using it. Only reason is that the internal fuel pump is a PIA. It is difficult to source one that is in good working order if it ever goes out. There is no petcock swi...

Re: getting around the yzf600r air ram??

I ran the 95-96 YZF600 air box on mine. You have to cut the box up a little bit to fit it into the frame, but all you have to do is to use "Duck Tape" to seal it back up. Worked very well for me. I did not have any dead spots in it once I got the jetting figured out. And you won't miss any...

Re: Section_59's Streetfighter ~ Disrupting the streets

Interesting, and nice to see another FZR with a SSSA on it. Here in the states, we didn't get the NT400. But we did get the NT650 which uses the same swingarm and rear wheel as that bike (which is what you used). The VFR400 and RVF400 (NC30 & NC35) use an under the swingarm shock linkage similar...
