DDM HIDs

I have a kit from these guys for my SVX, and it's a great, compact, well priced setup (super bright, too). Anyone use these for a FZR? Also, what's our bulb type? I don't have my FSM in front of me (I'm sure I'll check it out when I get home, though).

I haven't used as I still have the standard bulbs in my 94 1000. The bulbs should be H4 35w if memory servers correct.

So, both bulbs are H4s, just aimed differently? If so, the 35w kit is <$65 shipped. The only beef I have with the ones on my car (look like the same ballasts) is that they take a couple of seconds to warm up. Once warm, they're instant on/off. Still, it might be annoying switching from low to high beam if you need it immediately.

I may just have to be the guinea pig for these ones. Of course, I may also have trouble justifying another purchase when I haven't even gotten the title sorted out yet

I installed H4 8500K 55w H.I.D. bulbs from eurodezigns.com. 1 blue and 1 amber, they are both high/low beam bulbs and are great, very bright. I'v been using them for about 3 years worry free. They were about $13 and have a Lifetime Warranty. If 1 blows out, you mail the blown bulb back in a standard letter envelope with a 3 stamps and a money order for $6.95. I use these on my '03 Avalanche as well, high, low, and fog.

There site is currently under construction but you can email them for info on how to make a purchase at sales@eurodezigns.com . I have had no problems and they are an easy company to deal with. They are on ebay as well, which is where I made my 1st purchase from 3 years ago.

OK, got a pair of the DDM HIDs installed yesterday. 35W, 5000K, H4 Hi/lows. Install was pretty straightforward, though I don't think I found the best place for the ballasts. They're really small, but the wires didn't have that much length (some had too much, some too little) so that limited my options (I also didn't have any extension wires and I was eager to get them in and working; I may change positions later).

So far, so good! They run on a solenoid switch for going from low to high, so it's really just a re-aim. This is nice because they take a second or two to warm up when you turn them on cold, but since it uses the same bulb for hi and low there's no lag in light when switching. I have yet to run them at night (I will tonight), but they're already noticeably brighter than the Sylvania super brights (HID-like) I had in there.

For under $70, not a bad deal at all! I'll report back if they act up, but I really dig 'em thus far.
