Just curious what was meant by book of lies in regards to Haynes manuals, I've not had a lot of trouble with those books on other vehicles. Please enlighten me as to what you all might know about the inadequacies of the Haynes book

Hi "Rooster" I think he will be referring to; that on occasions the Haynes gives incorrect tolerances or specs.
Haynes were very, very good at outset (late 60's) but as progressed into the 80's and onward they tried to compress numerous models into the one manual which was a failure. Also remember specs are copied from factory manual and if transcriptor is not dilligent then mistakes occur.Numerous examples exist of inexperienced home mechanics following torque values only to strip threads or shear fixings. An experienced person would know a value to be wildly incorrect but imagine the new mechanic with his first bike and a brand new torque wrench.!!!!
Sent from my keyboard using the English language not some teen text shite from a fooking phone.
