2008 R6 SHOCK!!!! Able to be flipped 180* to clear the swingarm, but the reservoir clears the shock mount. It doesnt need to be redone!!

:worthlesswithoutpics:

flipped horizontally/ vertically ?????????????????

link??????

pics added to the first post so theyre all in one spot in the "shock" section :D

Heck I thought this was WIKI 'ised that is 4 pages of "stuff" with the content scattered thro it,
I have wiki'd the shock stuff from ABS600FZRR in the how-to's

but this SAGA is too long to tackle for the moment.(doing post holiday chores of catching up with real life after nearly 3 weeks of twilight zone.)

Well right now its linked in the WIKI, so any new info I run across personally I add to the original post to make it easier to find/consolidate for WIKI.

Its really not that bad. So long as you get the right combination of parts, have a few tools and a few hours you can do it in your driveway. It can be done in a more simple manner than I did. A shock swap is not required, you can reuse stock brakes, etc. You can do it!

I have a whole damn yzf to take parts from so its not the brakes that worry me.
Im worried about the inside bearing stop thing...you have to grind out 3/8" on the inside of the pivot...and I have to find new bearings somewhere

All you need is a dremel and a sanding wheel. And bearings are easy.

Im doing the whole motor swap and swingarm swap.
im worried about the dog bones...I hav my bike set at the most perfect height and now Iv gotta fook it up by drilling my own holes in the bones!
I also need to know how many links the chain needs.
wondering if I can use the 520 thats on my bike now...I think it has 107 links on that.
and I wonder if the 14T front sprocket I bought off you will work on the yzf engine?????????????

i put a 520 kit on first then swaped the swingarm and kept the same size front and rear sprocket and was able to use the chain the only problem is the chain hits the rearset bottom bolt i had a horrible time with it on my new one im gonna use bigger sprockets to try to get it to work. its not hard to swap but clearance of the rearsets and chain were a problem for me
ones life is the way it is only because you allow it make it happen.

Ill believe that when this no longer shows!

"The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on August 20, 2009 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later."

:whistle

lol...iv got a while. the yzf is still a whole bike just without headers and a gas tank...lol.
I need the sprocket as soon as the swingarm is ready to swap over with the motor!

Yeah, USPS is terrible about updating their tracking. Ive had parts arrive late this week and take forever for them to pick up, then dont show up on tracking. Its out of my hands at this point and we are both at the mercy of the gov't bonkonhead screwy
