In this case, the lower right hand fairing had a missing piece where the front wheel hit it due to the previous owner using a curb like a ramp. I wanted to keep my graphics, so I started looking for a donor piece, which I got from a fellow enthusiast. I had to use some of the extra plastic to fill the gap, as measurements were a little off, after cutting the pieces to fit, I took a razor blade and cut the edges of the piece so that when placed into my fairing there is a V along the crack. These have virtually no heatsink, overheat and fail frequently, and are the reason this page exists. Symptoms range from over/undercharged battery, to refusal to start in hot weather, to various burned out parts. Replacement with a newer style 4 or 5-pin regulator is highly recommended.

There are two types of FZR600's, pre and post Dec '93. They're completely different animals.

Launched in Feb 89', the Genesis had the slanted engine of the FZ750 and thou Genesis, but with four valves, not five. It had a Deltabox frame, 38mm forks, monoshock, 2-pot calipers, naff-all weight and killer steering.

hi,
well there seems to be alot of Tacho's out there that get fried by faulty VR's so mawler thought it would be agood idea to show what a healthy one looks like so you can replace the various bits with the right values.
If your main chip is fried err well your on your own until some guru down loads the contents and make a program to upload to a fresh chip.
